What is a polydioxanone (PDO) Thread Lift?
Watch Dr. Nangrani’s amazing Thread Lift work below to learn more about what a polydioxanone (PDO) Thread lift is. A Thread lift is a procedure that uses a dissolvable suture to tighten and lift the skin. Made of the same material as medical sutures developed for heart surgery, PDO threads are absorbable polydioxanone threads. It is a less invasive procedure than facelift surgery and is achieved in under 45 minutes without needing to go under a scalpel.
The threads stimulate the production of collagen and the new structure remains when the scaffolding absorb and will hold for 12-15 months.
The procedure implants the fine suture into the subcutaneous layer of your skin using a small, preloaded needle. As a result, anchored within your tissue, the threads tighten your sagging skin. A natural response encourages controlled healing under the skin and induces collagen production.
What is involved in a PDO Threadlift?
As you can see from the video above. Dr. Nangrani pulls the skin upward after inserting the threads. Your skin’s healing response builds new collagen around the threads, which eventually are absorbed. Threads hold your skin in position as you heal. Scaffolding.
Because inserting threads is a quick, minimally-invasive procedure you can return to normal activities immediately. PDO threadlifts mean quick recovery, natural results, and smoothly recontoured face, neck, elbows and knees. A threadlift or skin scaffolding gets rid of sagging, and skin smooths out.
