How Nova Incisionless Threads Work

The incision-less mini facelift uses Nova Incisionless Threads The Woodlands, which are preloaded with Polydioxanone (PDO) sutures. Your body absorbs the PDO sutures in 4 to 6 months without leaving any scar tissues. When the doctor injects the PDO sutures into the skin, it causes the tissues to heal through making new collagen, the natural way. As the PDO suture is absorbed, the skin is also working to repair itself around the threads.

The mesh, created at the subdermal level by injecting threads from several different directions, acts as the mark where new collagen must be produced. As a result, the skin is tightened from within. This is called the NovaMesh.
