MicroNeedling Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT)
CosmoPen microneedling can be considered as an alternative to fractional laser, IPL, and chemical peels. It offers the same results as a fractional laser without pain, downtime, expense, and thermal damage. Some improvement may be seen immediately, and more significant results will start occurring after two to three treatments spaced one to two weeks apart. Collagen production takes place over time, and skin will continue to improve over the next six to twelve months with proper skin care regimen.
The number of MicroNeedling treatments varies, depending on the extent of the condition being treated. You can expect six to eight sessions for acne, spaced from a week to 15 days apart. Acne scars may require up to ten sessions, also spaced from a week to 15 days apart. Depigmentation may require from five to eight sessions, spaced only a week apart. Lifting and improving thin wrinkles also may require from five to eight sessions, spaced from a week to 15 days apart. Hair may require ten to fifteen treatments, spaced a week apart. Your treatments will be scheduled in your complimentary consultation.

How does microneedling work?
Microneedling stimulates your skin’s natural ability to produce new collagen and elastin layers, bringing about healthier skin. The skin plumps and thickens in response to this stimulus, reducing the appearance of scars, fine lines, and other skin texture changes. The CosmoPen creates “micro-channels” to allow specific topical solutions to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin for optimal rejuvenating results.
CosmoPen treatment in combination with filler or botox injections must be delayed at least four days after those injections so that any post-treatment bruising can settle.
