Is Smart Lipo for weight loss?
No. If you have come close to your perfect weight through diet and exercise, but your shape still needs help, you may need extra help from Smart Lipo. With this laser procedure, you can finally achieve the body you always wanted.
Where on the body is it used?
Smart lipo is typically used to get rid of stubborn fat deposits in almost all body parts: face, chin, neck, upper arms, chest, buttocks, waist, abdomen/tummy, hips, inner and outer thighs, knees, and ankles. Who can have Smart Lipo?
People who are not significantly overweight but have deposits of unwanted fat that are resistant to diet and exercise. Smart Lipo is not a weight reduction treatment. If you are faithful to your exercise and diet routines, you will keep the fat pockets from returning. The doctor will do a thorough examination to be sure you are fit and qualified to undergo the procedure.
Where is the procedure done?
Smart Lipo is done in Vedas Medical Spa as an outpatient procedure.
How does the process work?
Smart Lipo uses a laser to break down fat deposits and a small cannula to remove the fat from the body permanently. The doctor and patient agree on parts of the body to treat, and the doctor applies Smart Lipo to sculpt the body.
How will the doctor perform Smart Lipo?
During the pre-op visit, you will identify specific areas to be treated, which will be recorded in your chart. You will receive preparation instructions and prescriptions if any are required. You’ll be given the choice of solely local anesthesia or Nitrous Oxide in addition. While in the operating room, you will be attended to by the doctor and a medical assistant.
On the day…
On the day of the procedure, the areas to be treated will be marked on your skin.
What does the procedure feel like?
There is minimal discomfort during the procedure. The patient may feel slight pressure during the actual procedure. Following Smart Lipo, you may experience some aches, much like after a physical workout.
How long will it take?
Treating a single area may take an average of one hour. Depending on the areas to be treated, you and the doctor may decide to treat several areas in one session.
Who does the procedure?
Only a licensed cosmetic doctor who has undergone the training for Smart Lipo can perform the procedure. Dr. Chaitali Nangrani is Vedas’s doctor, an aesthetic expert in anti-aging treatments since 2011.
Smart Lipo recovery is fast
Unlike traditional liposuction, where recovery can take a very long time, patients can resume their daily routine immediately. Since SmartLipo is an outpatient procedure, there is no need for the patient to be hospitalized or miss out on daily activities.
You will recover from the procedure the same day. The recovery period from bruising or swelling can be several weeks. You will receive post-treatment care information, a phone call the day after the treatment, and a follow-up appointment to check your healing.
Are there side effects?
Complications with SmartLipo are extremely rare, though there is a small risk of infection. Some patients experience minor swelling and bruising that usually disappears within a few days.
Are my results visible right away?
Yes, you will see initial results immediately, and further improvement when minor swelling subsides.
How long will the results last?
The fat that is removed is gone for good. There is always a chance of developing new fat cells. By combining Smart Lipo with proper diet and exercise, you will successfully maintain your results.
